.....Because today will never happen again
Amy is pictured here with her two children, Caleb and Isabella.
Amy Tejeda has been involved in photography professionally for 4 years . Having maintained a successful side business focusing on family and childrens photography as well as wedding photography. She takes pride in capturing those precious once in a life time opportunities of glowing pregnant bellies, the yawn of a newborn baby, that sneeky grin of the so energetic toddler or preschooler. Amy has experienced all of these with her two children and has been blessed enough to preserve many of their cherishing actions in priceless photographs that now hang on walls. Amy strives to give the same joys and warm feelings she has captured in her own children.
Amy is also an elementary school teacher, teaching public eduction for 9 years. She has Masters Degree from Tennessee Tech University in Instructional Leadership, and hopes to further her eduction in the future. Along with being a teacher, and photographer, the majority of Amy's time is spent with her husband, Joe, of 7 years and two children, Caleb who is 4 and Isabella who will be 6 months in the middle of July. Photography is Amy's creativ outlet. Amy holds photography so close as during the early stages, her husband was deployed to Iraq with the Army. During that time she used it as a focus and instead of sitting around drowning in sorrows and worry about her husband's safety, and being alone with her 5 month old baby boy, she simply put it in the Lord's hand and poured all her emotion into learning the art and skill of photography.
Amy took classes at the University of Tennessee with instructor and photographer, Tom Geisler. Tom took her under his wing and made her an assistant where I was a 2nd camera at weddings and then later sent her out to shoot weddings for him. Amy is always learning, always trying to find creative ways to bring her vision to your family. Please call or send an email as she would love to get to know you and help you make your memories last....
